CLASSES

Be equipped to live for and serve God! Classes will help you. We offer Classes in the fall and winter, usually for 6 and 12 weeks. Most classes meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. while the 180 Middle School Ministry is happening. Classes are:

  • For people at any place in their spiritual lives - from new believers to long-time Christians.
  • For people at all levels of Bible knowlege - for those just getting started to serious students of Scripture.
  • For people who want to apply God's Word to daily living.
  • Register at the ADULT'S DESK before or after each Sunday Service

    Dave Ramsey's FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY BEGINS JANUARY 20

    FOUNDATIONS 1 — In Christ

    Foundations 1—In Christ is the first of three Foundations courses. This part roots us in the truths of the gospel: our ruin in sin, God’s amazing grace to us through Christ, and our invitation to repent and believe. Whether you’re new to Hopevale or a long-time Christ-follower, you’ll benefit from this study of the essentials of our faith. (6 weeks) Ends February 24

    THE QUEST FOR AUTHENTIC MANHOOD

    This bottom-line study looks back on what has shaped your life as a man, then explores what the Bible says about manhood, and finally provides practical building-blocks for you to become a better husband, father, and man. (Part 2—12 weeks) Ends April 14

    WINNING AT WORK AND HOME

    Facilitator: Frank Gorske

    Room: 202

    Cost: $10

    This second-year course for men builds on The Quest for Authentic Manhood by speaking to the two most important areas of a man’s life—his woman and his work. This study puts the rubber on the road where men live, liberating us to live better.

    (Part 2-8 weeks. Prerequisite—The Quest for Authentic Manhood) Ends March 10

    THE GREAT ADVENTURE

    Facilitator: Patrick Loshaw

    Room: 205

    Cost: $20

    Many men pour their lives into their work, only to wonder later, “What’s next?” When they should be most effective and satisfied in life, too many men feel bored and alone. This final course in the Men’s Fraternity series points to the answer—and a great adventure. (Part 2—10 weeks. Prerequisite—Winning at Work and Home) Ends March 24.

    GROWING KIDS GOD’S WAY

    Facilitator: Tim and Pony Baldwin

    Cost: $10

    Applying truth with grace, this continuing study of parenting will help you reach the hearts of your children with the virtues and values that flow from the character of God—and do it without stressing you or your child. Best for parents of children infant through 10 years. (Part 2- 8 weeks) Ends March 10.

    DANIEL II (PRECEPT)

    Sundays : (Begins January 13): 5:00-6:30 p.m.

    Facilitators: Bud Herzberg and John Hodgson

    Cost: $20

    Daniel knew what God said about the end time. He focused on what God said, not just the events of his own time and he had impact on people around him. How do you live as Daniel now? How can you dare to be different? How do you get to know God Most High like Daniel did? This study will help you answer these questions.

    ESTHER: IT'S TOUGH BEING A WOMAN

    Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened or pushed into situations that seemed overwhelming, this Bible study is for you. (10 weeks) -

    A WOMAN'S HEART: GOD'S DWELLIING PLACE

    Mondays (begins january 14): 9:00–11:00 a.m. in Room 201 (North Campus)

    This study, written by Beth Moore explores the building of the Old Testament tabernacle. It looks at the significance of its intricate design, its pivotal role in God's eternal plan, its purpose and the meanings for your walk with God today. (10 weeks ) Ends March 18
