Sermon Questions - Who Am I and Why Am I Here? - 05.12.19

Key Message Notes

WHY ARE YOU/WE HERE?
Love God (Matthew 22: 36-40)
Serve Others (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 16:24)
Responsibly cultivate the earth (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:15)

VOCATION
Every Christian is called (Galatians 5:13)
Every calling counts (Colossians 3:23-24)
Our most important callings are unpaid (church, family)

SERMON QUESTIONS

1) What are some ways you can represent Christ in your vocation?

2) There is a billboard sign on I-75 North for skilled trades that asks, “What is your            Super Power?”  What gifts or talents has God given you to serve others?

3) If our most important calling from God is unpaid; what about this saying; “You can’t      put ‘Thanks’ in the bank.”  Do you believe that statement is true? Why or why not?

4) What are some ways we can set aside our own self-interest and make a connection      with others?

5) What are some ways you can responsibly cultivate the Earth? Consider the                    questions: What am I good at? What do I enjoy doing? What does the world need?
