Christmas Frequently Asked Questions

If you're new to Hopevale and considering coming to a Christmas Service, we're so glad!  We're preparing and getting things ready with you in mind.  We're sure you have a lot of questions and we tried to anticipate some of them.  Here's our best attempt at answers.  If we don't address all of yours, please call our church office at 989.793.3122 and ask away!  We want your time at Hopevale to be hassle free.

What time are your Christmas Services?

We are hosting 5 services over 2 days:

Sunday, December 23 at 5:00 and 7:00p

Monday, December 24 at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00p

How long are the services?

The services last an hour and they’re easy to follow; we won’t expect you to know when to sit and when to stand or any other insider info.

What should I wear?

We want you to know that you don’t have to worry about what you will wear. People will wear everything from dressy to casual and we’re sure you’ll fit right in.

Do I have to give money?

We will be taking an offering during the service but, as our guest, please don’t feel pressured at all to give. All the money we receive that night will be used to benefit those outside the walls of our church. It's 'All for Others' and we are excited about it!

When do the doors open?

Doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes before each service and our ushers will seat you and your party together.  We'll seat our 1,000 person auditorium from front to back filling every seat.  So get ready to be cozy!

What happens if the auditorium is too full?

We're making room!  We have transformed a room outside the auditorium just in case we get full.  Our Additional Seating in the Venue will be warm and festive and participants will enjoy a live video stream of our service.

Do I bring my kids in the service with me?

Children’s programming for Birth – Pre-Kindergarten will be available at all services. If you're new to our church we encourage you to come a little early to register your child. Don't know where the Kids Area is?  Ask a greeter at our main doors as you come in, they'll be glad to help.

Have an elementary aged child? Bring them to the service. We'll have a gift for them and elements in the Christmas service that they'll enjoy!
